Constipation etc. This is totally affecting my everyday life. Saw cardiologist who said he was keeping me on it for the time being until i had a heart scan, so on wait list. Dont think I can cope much longer. Also worrying that side affects continue for some months after stopping

very interesting as I suspect this is why I am so awful… Can’t operate for longer than an hour each day. I must ask Dr - they don’t even go there as want us on these pills no doubt. BUT.
I was put on amiodarone and within a day could not walk in a straight line and kept falling over. The GP thought I had had a brain bleed and wanted an emergency hospital visit. I was then told as it was not an Red emergency, the amulance may take up to three days.
So I stopped taking them, and within 24 hours was a lot better.
There are alternatives to amiodarone, so why didnt your GP try you on something else?
A quick google brought up this:- ATI-2042
This drug has a similar electrophysiological effect to amiodarone, but a shorter half-life. Early studies suggest that it may provide the benefits of amiodarone without its toxicity.
Maybe tell your GP you cannot carry on as you are and would like a trial of ATI?
