Peritonitis is a burst appendix?

I'm assuming you mean that you have pericarditis. This is an irritation of the lining of the heart and it will be painful and exhausting to get through. I would contact your doctor just to check all is ok. It will take time to settle so be gentle with yourself. Although 5 weeks of pain and exhaustion seems a long time, it's still early days. I'd talk to your doctor just to reassure yourself that everything's ok and it will settle.
