microvascular dysfunction

I had an angiogram last year with additional tests one for microvascular dysfunction and one for spasms.

The normal angiogram is okay but the rest for microvascular dysfunction was more uncomfortable.

I have microvascular dysfunction.

The staff were amazing and I could watch the procedure on the tv.

good luck.

Welcome to forum,

There are quite a few of us on the forum who live with microvascular and/ or vasospastic angina.

My coronary vasospasms were confirmed by an angiogram with acetylcholine in 2014.

How are you getting on?

Hi, I’m okay just apprehensive about the future.

Hi there. I've had microvascular dysfunction for as long as I can remember and I'm in my 80s. I also have a PFO/atrial aneurysm, LBBB, leaky valves and other little problems from 4 diagnosed takotsubo episodes. Apart from age wear and tear I'm doing fine as long as I take my meds. Don't despair. 🤗💖

Thanks for the reply. I’m trying to be positive, lose weight and get fit. I will keep taking the tablets

This came out of the blue and was a shock

Originally it was the opposite for me. A few times a doctor queried if I had had rheumatic fever as they thought they could hear a murmur, but an ECG was normal, so that was that. It was only when I had my first takotsubo episode that I was taken seriously.

Hi, I'm due for the same angiogram with additional tests for microvascular dysfunction and spasms in September.

I'm a little apprehensive as I've read a few responses which say that this can be an 'uncomfortable' experience, but I'm hoping to have a definitive diagnosis rather than just a 'suspected'.

Hope they've got you on all the right medication now.

hi, the test itself was a bit scary for me as well. It lasts for three minutes. They put a liquid through the line and they time how long it takes. It was the longest 3 minutes. I felt as if all the blood was draining from my arms but was reassured that that was normal.

Knowing what I know now I would have no problem having the test again

My medication’s are okay now

Good luck and the best advice is to relax while they do it
