Coping With Heat

With pote4ntiaslly the hottest day of the year forecast for some areas around 3:00 - 4:00 p.m. this afternoon I thought it could be useful to reference a previous post on this. I have an appointment ands am in T-shirt and shorts as the clinician might not be impressed by a patient stripped to the waist! 🤣

The appointment went well. It was very hot and close though with the clinician only wearing a light cotton shirt (yes - he did have trousers and shoes on!) After, back in the flat I took my T-shirt off. I was stuck to my back as the wheelchair really needs a cool air circulation system. The backrest has the appearance of some token ventilation but it is no better than the perforated vinyl that used to be fitted to Triumph Toledos and others. In the record summer of '76 I put bath towels over the vinyl seats of my Ford Zephyr 6!

I should be asleep but was woken by phantom pain after struggling to get to sleep with the heat and humidity!

Hello :-)

I look forward to the Summer we do not get much but when we do it is the intense heat

We have had over a week of it and until evening I have had to stop in as it is to much for me and has been affecting me

I hope your appointment goes well and you could have gone topless just to see the reaction you got you could have just said I have come prepared to save time as well as seeing if the world is ready yet to see this body I have been covering up :-)

Thank you for the link and reminder and I do hope everyone is coping alright in the heat and is keeping well :-) x

I sometimes wear a light cotton shirt with the top buttons undone. Once someone commented on my scar seeming to suggest I should cover up so I just said "That's were they cut me in half to save my life!". 🤣

Hello :-)

Well been a female I do not cover my scar I do not go topless mind you :-D but in this heat I wear low cut things and I have had comments sometimes about my scar but I think nothing of it I might say what you said though that is one way to put it :-)

Hope your appointment went well :-) x

Being half Spanish. I usually don't mind the heat, but since having Evangeline and while I was pregnant I can't cope with this weather. I've been in a thin dress today. Thankfully I didn't need to go out. But Evangeline will not settle tonight. It took hot for her.

Hope your appointment went well

The heat was even worse when I was 10kg heavier so I imagine being pregnant is uncomfortable.
