Hello - just checking in to let you know my partner Frazer had his heart bypass surgery yesterday & is doing well. I visited him last night in ICU and he seemed better than I was expecting. I have found great comfort from reading the posts on here and am extremely grateful to the people on this forum for helping me get through the last couple of weeks waiting for the big day to come.

Hello :-)

This is great news :-)

I am so glad when you went to visit it was not as bad as expected and when he is back on the ward slowly they will get him moving and then he will be home and continue to recover

I am so pleased everything went so well and I hope you both can now start to look to a happy future together :-) x

Thankyou for your lovely kind words. Frazer is doing amazing. When I arrived at the hospital this morning, he was up out of bed & sat in his chair. He's been for a walk up & down the ICU ward with the physio today. They are planning to move him to his room on the ward tomorrow. I know we have a long road ahead, but he's pretty positive under the circumstances and I'm so proud of him. Hospital staff are absolutely amazing.

Hello :-)

They soon get us up and moving and it sounds like he is doing really well

Not quite yet but they will start getting him walking up a flight of stairs and when we can do that even if slow it is not long before we get to come home so something for you to look forward to :-)

Everyone's recovery can go at different paces some are back to normal life within 3 months some take longer but however long it takes the end result is what matters and a day at a time he will get stronger and feel like a new man possibly better than he has felt in a long time but never realised it :-)

I am pleased though for you both and as he starts his recovery anything you want to ask or know we will share our experiences with you :-)

Remember to look after yourself to and look forward to the updates and how he is doing :-) x
