Hi everyone. Thank you for the generous responses to my last post. I had a heart mri three weeks ago and on Monday was asked to book an abdomen ultrasound resulting from the mri. Had no notification of results. GP has now received a letter from my cardiologist which they can't let me see until the GP has seen and approved. Terrified over what they may have found!!Consultants secretary eventually answered the phone and won't discuss either. I was diagnosed with SVT and meds are Bisoprolol and ezetimibie.
Can anyone help please? What possible findings could result in an abdominal ultrasound from a heart issue?
Any insights would be good.....

Hi, I recently had to have an abdominal ultrasound, together with another Carotid Doppler scan - as keep having prominent pulsations in my neck. (Had O.H.S last year). Consultant was concerned that she cld possibly feel my liver pulsating also.
Fortunately the abdominal scan revealed the aorta was doing its thing and not an issue with my liver - so no further action required in that regard.
I think that is so wrong, the only thing is that if it needed urgent attention you would have been contacted, they shouldn't do letters that you cannot see,but also if gp got a letter you should have received a copy! Is there anyway you can contact cardiologist secretary??
sounds like they are checking all your arteries, coronary and lower down aorta and femoral , which is good . Have your tests and wait for your Dr,s report which they won’t have yet until scans are completed, your on medication , try not to worry,
