Hi, I'm 75 and have just been diagnosed with cerebral small vessel disease. It explains a lot of the symptoms I've been getting over the past few years.
I take a very high dose of Gabapentin and steroids everyday for a neurological condition which causes all over the body skin pain. I also suffer with Erythromelalgia in my feet. It stops me from going out and sleeping.
I had been putting all of my symptoms down to the 2,500mg of Gabapentin per day.
My main symptom is complete lack of balance. I recently broke a hip because of osteoporosis and use a rollator to walk. It's very useful and I use it for help with balance. Without it I would fall flat on my face.
Other symptoms are fatigue, muscle stiffness and pain and brain fog.
I started taking vitamin B complex pills but since doing that i have been getting bursts of anger. Throwing things etc. This is completely out of character for me as I am a very placid laid bsck person.
Could the vit B be causing this? This happened before the diagnosis.
