OK, I've been on Clopidogrel for blood clots twice in my LAD artery. Why are my pores bleeding every day for the last 2 yrs?

I live in sunny South Florida USA and have worn black long pants & tops to hide the bleeding when out & about for the last 2 yrs. So, I just don't go out unless I have to! My cardiologists say Copidogrel is working by knowing my body is nothing but black & blue & always bleeding! I honestly would like to get off all my meds & let nature take it's course...where ever it may lead me! I have always eaten healthy, exercised for at least 3 hrs or more a day, stayed under weight until 69 yrs old and then got on heart meds after my 2 attacks and then my weight spiraled out of control??? I don't want to become predibetic now! I feel the side effects from meds are worst than the disease!!! One thing leads to another.

hello the first thing that came to mind is you need a new cardiologist / second opinion on why your bleeding like that, to allow you to continue for so long like this is not great care so I suggest you seek help from a different doctor. There maybe alternatives to clopidogrel.

it’s affecting quite clearly your quality of life so I hope you find a better doctor and the right help.

Good luck.

Thank you so very much for your concern which has always been mine too. I started with a new cardiologist this year that finally got my BP under control in the hospital. He took me off the aspirin which has helped somewhat for the bleeding, but still not enough. I read that taking Lisinapril along with Clopidogrel does not make a good combination. Wow, you really have to be your own advocate today. I will touch base with him again about this... along with having a recent bout of food poisoning and vomited nothing but blood for 2 hrs. Of course this always happens on a Friday nite but by Monday morning, I was fine. Thank you again for your input.

I am Sorry I didn’t pick up your reply till today, I do hope you make some progress and agree about advocacy.

always the way, why can’t doctors catch “in the act” as it were would save a lot of advocacy and explanation.

❤️
