Hello :-)

I had a triple Bypass and if you were saying you were not feeling nervous I would wonder why as I think most of us do but I will say I was a wreck and yet the operation was nothing as bad as my head had imagined it to be

You are in safe hands they know what they are doing and the aim with this operation is to give people a better quality of life and no doubt that is why you are having it done

We have members on here that after they have recovered are fitter and feel better than they have in years and doing more than they were ever doing before so yes your life will get back on track just follow the recovery and slowly you will be doing what you have been and maybe even more :-)

If there is anything particular you want to know just ask and we will do our best to answer

See tomorrow as the start of a new beginning with the result of a better functioning heart so a positive for anyone that needs this done

Let us know how you get on :-) x

My mother had a triple bypass aged 80, and lived another 8 years before other problems caught up with her. The important thing is to follow recommendations on diet and exercise to give yourself the best chance.

Wishing you well for tomorrow.

Hiya, I had O.H.S last summer. In fact, this time last year, I was still in hospital recovering. At the moment, we are away in Snowdonia, on a holiday that we had to postpone 12 months ago - that I couldn’t have contemplated going on.

Life will get better again. You will recover and get your life back. Whilst the surgery is huge for the patient - this is the Surgeon’s day job. They perform bypass surgery several times a week. They are at the top of their game and both they and their team are experts in cardiac care. It’s all that they do.

The waiting is awful. Such an anxious time for both you and your family. The first few days post op, will be tough. It’s a big op for your body to go through. But, you will turn a corner after a few days and then you will notice improvements week by week.

We’ll all be thinking of you tomorrow and wishing you well, with the speediest of recoveries. Once you feel up to it. Post an update of your progress. Take Care.

Hi, I can't offer any advice from experience as we are awaiting my boyfriends surgery, however I have read so many positive stories on here, it's very reassuring and supportive. Sending very best wishes your way and do let us know how you are doing post surgery
