I had 3 stents in LAD. Got twinges too for a bit. Very tearful and panicky too. Keep reassuring yourself that your heart is now in better nick than before as heart nurse kept telling me. It’s early days and it takes a while to get any confidence back.

Hi Ladylovesmilktray, I had LAD stented August 11th last year, I know were you are coming from, I was exactly like you are feeling now it took me around A month to start feeling my old self and more confident about my condition, 10 months on I am averaging walking 5 miles a day and feeling good I am 72 September, it does take time but you will get there, we all feel like you have so soon after a procedure and if you are feeling down you can always phone your GP nurse for reassurance, it does get better with time all the best

had stent fitted in Jan . Still a bit paranoid about things going wrong now , but getting better . Had a couple of days when I had a good cry . It really does take the wind out of your sails when you have a cardiac event . Makes us feel old and vulnerable. Well it does me anyway . Good luck on your journey . This forum is a big help , as we are all going through the same kind of emotions

Thank you Stent2024 for replying. Yes, it certainly has taken the wind out of my sails; I’m just hopeful that I will not require any further ‘intervention’.

I’m still experiencing little twinges and I’m so damn tired all the time, but believe that a symptom of the medications I am on. I wish I felt better than before the stent but I can't say I do. My narrowing was identified on a CTs scan initially, I was not experiencing any pain. I do have PAD, the CT scan of my heart was originally just to check my heart artery’s as those with PAD can have CAD as well. My husband keeps telling me how lucky I am that it was spotted, and of course I can see the sense in that and am thankful that it was treated, I just hope that I can fully recover and that I don't have to endure any more interventions. Good luck to you.
