When I add my heart attack, I also add 2 cardiac arrests while they was fitting a stent. Now I have been diagnosed with ischeamic heart disease. I was wondering if anyone knows how much damage cardiac arrests cause to your heart

Heart attack
hi Alfie
My husband had a cardiac arrest 2 years ago. His ejection fraction is between 40 to 45 since which is only just below normal but other than that he is absolutely fine. He was back at work a few weeks later and has no other symptoms. Make sure you do the cardio rehab as that will give you exercises to make your heart pump. As the heart is a muscle you need to make it pump to keep it strong.
Hope that helps and good luck.
There is no one answer to this question. I had a cardiac arrest three years ago and suffered some damage to my heart; my ejection fraction is on the low end of "normal."
I arrested 4 times en route to the hospital. Told by the cardiologist that I'd been very lucky as incredibly there is so little damage. My ejection fraction is 58%, mid 50's-mid 60's is normal, and an echocardiograph 8 months after is really struggling to find any damage. So in reality there is no one scenario to fit all. So speak to your doctor, he/she will have those stats on you.
in the meantime while waiting to speak to your doctor, read about cardiac disease on the NHS website or the website of British Heart Foundation. This will give you good background information so that you will know what they are talking about,
