blood pressure taken this morning very high phoned NHS direct as I was getting ectopics as well.
Hospital trip did BP AND IT HAD GONE DOWN BUT ECTOPICS ARE CARRYING ON. ADVISED TO HAVE HOTLER TEST - what happens if results show a problem. Rather worried. Thank you.

Hi I had thousands of extra ectopics a day as well as the normal amount. I have low blood pressure not high like yourself. I get pains like a pressure pain at the back of my neck and lower head it’s when my BP drops especially when out walking. Do you get this? Keep asking GP/hospital for answers until you get it sorted. If you are unwell and in pain it isn’t anxiety they are real symptoms but the whole situation of things happening to you plus the pain can cause you to have anxiety and worrying isn’t good for you. It’s real so don’t be fobbed off tell them it’s real and needs to be sorted because it’s causing you a lot of stress. Good luck hope it’s sorted soon for you and that you get answers then when you know everything you will be stronger and will be able to deal with the situation because you know exactly what is going on. By the number of posts you've made it's obvious you are very anxious. YOu can actually edit your post instead of writing a new one ( Where it says "more".)Ectopic b eats are extremely common and in most cases nothing to bother about. I had them for years. A holter monitor like a wearable ECG should show where they are coming from and they are normally not treated unless they come from a part of the heart they are concerned about. Anxiety will make normal ectopics much worse and can also shoot your BP up sky high. A single high BP reading is nothing to worry about providing it goes back to normal. A GP will usually ask you to take 3 BP readings a day for a week when you are sitting down resting then he will work out the average over the week. If the monitor shows something like atrial fibrillation you will be given medication to slow your heart rate and to try to reduce the number of attacks but as I said, in most cases ectopics are annoying but nothing to bother about. Once I knew mine were harmless and stopped worrying I got fewer and fewer .
