As we journey through April, let’s continue to support one another. Whether you’re savouring a warm cup of tea or admiring the blossoming spring. 🌸

Live & Ticking

We have another exciting Live & Ticking webinar for you this month! Although often symptomless, having high blood pressure - or hypertension - puts you at risk of conditions such as heart attack, stroke, and vascular dementia. Join our Live & Ticking webinar on Wed 24 April to ask your questions and discover more about this risk factor and its impact on cardiovascular health. Sign up at bhf.org.uk/liventicking.

Heart Stories

In other news - The Heart Stories team seeks compelling patient stories to support our campaigns, survival initiatives (such as our CPR tool Revivr), and media efforts. These personal testimonies vividly illustrate the impact of cardiovascular disease and underscore the urgency of our lifesaving research.

If you or your family have experienced Heart Failure, Heart attack, or Sudden cardiac arrest, we invite you to share your story with us. We handle each account with utmost sensitivity and collaborate with you to convey it across various channels.

To contribute, reach out to us via the Heart Stories inbox at heartstories@bhf.org.uk. Our team will connect with you to discuss further. We’re happy to start with an informal chat to explain our story process and address any questions you may have.

Please remember we are always here for you. If you have questions or just want a simple chat, please do get in touch.

Wishing you a heart-healthy wonderful month!

Luke from the BHF 😊

I started my new job a couple of weeks ago and last Thursday morning a colleague had a stroke but thankfully they caught it in time and they feel there's no reason why she shouldn't make a full recovery.

The line Manager asked me could I cover the colleagues Sunday afternoon shift last Sunday and I said yes I could do that for her as it seemed mean to say no when I could have helped but wouldn't!

Monday morning I was shattered and some members of staff were being petty over some breakfast trays and I had had enough so complained to the line Manager who was nice about it and told the ones being petty off and they have been fine since!

Tomorrow its my usual Friday long day from 8/8 and then a long day on Sunday 8/8 as well.
