After a few weeks of returned angina symptoms, the cardiologist has referred me to have a stress echo test to check condition of arteries and stents.
Seems sensible.
Question is: symptoms are sporadic, and I have not been able to establish a pattern for when they occur. For instance really bad yesterday with leisurely dog walk. No symptoms today at the gym or when dog walking. When undergoing the stress test will it identify problems if I don’t experience symptoms? Or will it need to be a symptomatic ‘stress test’? Just a little concerned that any problems may not show up at the right time!
experience welcome.

Sorry to hear this Mark , sounds frustrating as hell. There’s been quite a few recent posts on vasaspatic angina ( I think that’s the term) that doesn’t show up on various echo tests but is now a recognised issue. I’m sure someone with knowledge will pop a reply but on the meantime do a search on the forum ( you might have already come across it in your daily email update posts) . You could also get in touch with the BHF nurses chat line and get their advice when they are next open , I’ve used them previously for loads of questions , it’s a great service 👍🏻
