I called the hospital about my MRI stress test as the times they gave on the text and the letter differed. When there they were concerned about any caffeine intake and had I taken some sort of tablets. So call them to be clear. In the end they could only do so much of the test on me as my pulse was too low. still they said that the had a clearer picture of how the heart muscle was working so it was better than n othing.

The BHF webpage on Cardiac MRI scan, linked below, says that you should continue to take your medication but avoid caffeine for a short time prior to the scan. Other sources advise that short period fro zero caffeine to be typically up to 24 hours. However if you have not received pre-procedure instructions from the team responsible for the scan and you are still in doubt you should contact them to clarify what you should be doing.

Didn't your doctor advise you before this? Best to ask advice from a GP or cardiologist if you can contact yours.
