pain in shoulder

I’ve had a quad bypass 6 years ago and suffered a slight pain around my shoulder starting about 3 years ago

I get tired very easily and have got claudication in my legs causing them to ache after walking about 3 miles

Been to the docs several times had the pulse test in my legs which was ok been told some people just get tired and have to live it

Latest consultation about my shoulder pain was to say it didn’t seem like angina and that seems to be it

So I don’t know what’s making me tired

I can’t do anything about my legs

I don’t know what’s causing my shoulder pain

What do I do now

I shall have a docs appointment in about 2 weeks but I don’t know what to do or say

Any advice from out there 😀

blood test to see if you are a bit iron-deficient? Quite a few people would say that walking three miles is good at your age.

Shoulder pain - arthritis? Not much to be done here except painkillers unless it’s excruciating (if it is arthritis).

We can’t diagnose of course but can only tell you where you might get more information - this is all I can think of but I’m not a doc.

Hi Dogchasers, I’ve got a similar set of ailments. Nstemi heart attack and quadruple bypass in July 2023. I’m making a fantastic recovery , running 5k-6k 3 times a week now , walking my deerhound (Bedlington cross) 4k daily , 2 challenging yoga sessions a week and physical work round my smallholding. Left shoulder/arm pain and mobility issue , diagnosed as GIRD by my physio , I now have some stretches that are also painful but greatly improved my mobility . Could’ve been result of surgery , I will be letting my consultant and GP know .

I also had fatigue , some days I’d just feel wiped out . That’s being investigated , a recent blood test showed blood sugar levels indicative of pre diabetes . My GP thinks it’s a false positive , so waiting on result of a second test as she says it just doesn’t fit with my nutrition or lifestyle . Obviously there could be other factors causing the reading to be high , statins and other medication. I stopped taking 80 mg of artovastatin for a month under GP guidance . When I left hospital ist surgery I was anaemic and put on iron tablets . I hope my GP will be testing for iron deficiency again .

Obviously these are just my recent experiences of something similar to your issues and I don’t suggest you follow my treatment, get back I touch with your GP/consultant, They might do blood tests /review your medication.
