Hello - I have eventually got my operation date for new aortic valve and triple bypass -just wondering how long the operation takes. Regards Flag2

I think it all depends but I had a triple Bypass and that lasted 6 hours I did not have a valve but I expect that might make the operation a little longer

This is something the surgeon will be able to answer though and the good thing is you are asleep so you will not have any idea till you wake up how long you have been under

Thank you - I shall try to remember to keep you updated however that type of stuff is not my strongest skill.

I guess that everyone's surgery is different. I was taken done to surgery at 7am and didn't get back to ICU until 4pm. Totally out if it though so it didn't really matter to me 😊
