How soon after flu can I start exercising again?

Hi All,

Not seeking medical advice, just your experiences:

I had a HA and four stents back in February 2020. Notwithstanding lockdown and a delayed and truncated rehab programme I managed to get myself fit and feeling good. Lots of walking, exercise bike and general cardio exercises. Since then, over the last year, I've had a bout of (insert dreaded 'Cv' word) and two bouts of flu - the last bout just a week ago.

Both bouts of flu appear to have caused me problems with my kidneys (my medical records indicate Stage 3 kidney disease, but never mentioned by my GP). Is this normal? Frothy pee from excess of protein but which seems to go away after about a week. After the first bout of flu I started exercising as soon as I felt better, but this set me back again and I'm reluctant to fall into the same trap.

Any comments will be appreciated. BTW I'm 70.

Thanks,

Henry
