Hello, your certainly NOT alone! It can take some time to accept .
But you will .
I'm coming up too 11 months post heart attack, 3 stents and then a T2D diagnosis.
11 months on I can honestly say I have not felt as well for several years !
T2D in Remission, 3 stone lighter , working, and gym 2 or 3 x a week .
Actually had a 30 minute telephone appointment yesterday where my re hab team have now discharged me ...
Take any rehab you can get and at first don't push too much ... You will get there .
Best wishes!

Good Morning Landj and everyone else here.
I had a HA in April Last year and had a stent fitted. 9 weeks later. I had another one and had 3 more stents fitted. It took a while to come to terms with as after the 1st one I did everything I was told to do. 🙄.However give yourself time and be kind to yourself. I am having and ICD fitted in Feb and so it goes on. Acceptance is the key but very difficult sometimes when it's your body. 😊
I am sorry this has happened to you and welcome to the group where you can ask as many questions as you want, reach out if you are feeling low, inspire us if you are having a good day and everything in-between. We are here to support each other through the good and bad. So once again, welcome.
My story is an angina attack in Oct ‘22 and a hospital visit at which I was told nothing was wrong.
That was followed by another hospital appointment last May. At that appointment I was admitted, had 2xPCI 5 days later. Another scan and I’m not discharged but end up with AVR and CABG 3 weeks later.
It turns out I had a heart attack 9 hours before my hospital visit in May.
I’m fitter now than I have been for about 12 years.
So the bottom line is that what happens isn’t a door closing on what you enjoy but a door opening on new opportunities to enjoy more time doing what you love.
Hi there, I had a heart attack and stent fitted three weeks ago. I'm about to start Cardiac Rehabilitation and have been told its a journey.. you are not alone x

Oh my word, do NOT Google. Stay on here or the NHS website. You are far from alone. It's such a shock to be suddenly faced with your own mortality and I think it's even harder to come to terms with the mental effects than the physical ones. Like you i had a heart attack out of the blue, a 99 or 100% blockage , two stents and two further blockages identified . A second angiogram showed them to be 64% blocked; not quite bad enough to stent. Look on it this way; rather than it being a disaster, it's been a warning and a very welcome second chance to make changes and start living again more safely. If you change whatever is necessary, diet, weight, alcohol, exercise, smoking- whichever applies to you, and of course take the tablets, you can extend your life even further. I didn't think o ur diet was bad, I always cooked fro m scratch and didn't need to lose weight but after cutting right down on red meat, banishing cakes and biscuits and anything fried or pies ( My husband's addicted to pies), I lost 2 stone without even noticing and I'm so grateful for the extra 5 years and counting that I may not have had. Make sure you go to rehab when it's offered. Best thing there is for your confidence.
