Long term acid reflux can be a serious condition if not treated. Unless it is a transient condition you should really go and talk to your GP. To help things settle down short term you should eat a very bland diet, do not overeat, and don't eat anything three hours before you go to bed. And sometimes sitting up in bed can help. Gaviscon can help but don't overdo it,

Maybe could “do a test” for you know what. A lot of it about ! Cancelled my gynae op this week cos I succumbed ! Really annoying whole of Christmas rearranged op now early Jan so Christmas is still cancelled in our house - got to be 2-7 weeks clear for major operations 🙄
