Hey guys. Been on 80mg slow release propranolol for about 4 months. GP on Monday has reduced it down to 40mg for 2 weeks then down to 20mg for a week then 10mg for a week then stop them. Any advice for me from anyone who has gone through this would be great as I'm worried about relapsing with the symptoms again. Wish in a way I had NEVER taken them to start with. Don't want another one in my life after this

Propranolol withdrawal
hi Bruno , I have been on 80 mg propranolol since sept , just couldn’t cope with the side effects so cardiologist as changed the to Diltiazen just told to stop the beta blockers and start the Diltiazen day 2 and I’m starting to feel a lot better ! Pharmacist said it’s gonna take about a week to get out of my system ! Wishing you well with your withdrawal 😍
Hi! I have also been 80mg for around 5 months now and have started reducing it as the side effects became too much to cope with... I'm also very nervous about withdrawal... I feel generally over tired and have a persistent headache. I'm on the same tapering off schedule as you. I'm on day 4 now... I think everything I'm reading is causing me to panic more than I need to right now... I hope you manage ok with coming off of it!! I wish I'd never touched it in the first place too!
Believe me, Bisoprolol is worst. I withdraw from Propranolol with magnesium and potasium. But it takes weeks. You will have high HR and BP. But I didn't give up. I try to resolve this issue with natural remedy. I've been to a lot of beta blockers and on those alergic to beta blockers. All made me zombie. It's like I wasn't in my body. I don't want that anymore. How do you feel now?
Hi,
Just wondering if you can help
I’m withdrawing from 80mg propranolol at the moment currently on day 4 and just wondering if the magnesium helped you? I’ve read that it can help but never heard any success stories.
Thank you
