I don't believe it

Well previous Consultant tried to call me on 16 Oct. I couldn't stay on the line too long as was unexpected call and I was in meeting. I had a little rant about him not updating me now all tests are concluded. He then said he doesn't have any concerns about my heart. All I wanted was an update and care plan. Maybe he should have shared his prognosis earlier with me. Would have saved a lot of worry.

Be positive. You have been given good news by the cardiologist even though it was later than you would have liked. But if you want any guidance on what you should be doing to reduce your heart risk the BHF site has lots of ideas, but are mostly centred upon the need for regular exercise, a heart friendly diet, body weight management ,as well as reducing alcohol, and stopping smoking. And if you have any issues with any medication you have been prescribed, such as significant side effects, discuss with your GP.

Thanks, doing all the steps to self help. BMI down to 26 from 32, 2 stone lost and no alcohol since March on diagnosis. I think self help is key, NHS are fab but can't cure everyone who won't self help
