Hello and welcome to the forum! Can you clarify if your systolic or diastolic was high as you say both that your sytolic is high and that it is normal. I found Amlodipine fairly ineffective and fair much better on an ACE Inhibitor (I am on Lisinopril rather than Ramipril). How are you doing otherwise?

My systolic is on the high side but diastolic is much lower . Hoping Ramipril will lower bp in time

Takes time. I am the same and mostly ok except on visits to the hospital 😀

Hi,

Amlodipine works up to a certain extent.

Perhaps ask your GP for more information about Ramipril dosage as that takes time.

Depending on your condition you might need an extra medication to manage your blood pressure.

Hope this helps.

All the best,
