Is it angina really????

I have these 4 to 6 minute episodes of heart skipping beats horribly pulse rate at 43 pain squeezing in my throat neck area and somewhat chest area ...happens at oddest times and in my sleep the pain wakes me up from my REM sleep!! Dr gave 5 mg amlodepene and 15mg of isosorbide

What tests have you had to diagnose angina?

I experience a squeezing pain in my chest, and as of late, in my throat too. I have a type of angina called vasospastic angina. I’ll link the information below if you’re interested in reading about it further. I also experience a similar pain which can wake me from my sleep, but this is rare, maybe a couple of episodes in my sleep a year.

I can’t stress enough that you need the correct testing carried out to try and get an accurate diagnosis.
