Hi everyone - I hope you are all as well as you can be. I joined this site over a month ago but admittedly haven't contributed much. To explain briefly. I had kidney failure (now recovered) delirium and then a HA and PCI, whilst visiting Barcelona in June. The doctors there were fantastic, but because of the kidney problems, delirium and new meds whilst in ICU, I have very little memory of events. Anyway, the reason I am contacting you all is; I have my first Cardiology appointment next month, here in the UK.
What I need your help with is - is anyone aware of perhaps a list of questions I could take with me to my consult?
On Bisoprolol amongst other drugs and also have Fibromyalgia so I'm finding it very difficult to focus on even coming up with a list of things I need to ask.
Thanks in advance everyone and have the best weekend as we approach our Indian summer ☀️.

So sorry to read all you have been through which is an awful lot must have been so much ti deal with
As for questions to ask I always make a list as I forget and always make sure they allow me time to read them out and get an answer
If you could take someone with you to your appointment that would be a good idea not only could they listen to but maybe put the answers to your questions down for you so you can keep looking at them when you are at home
I would ask things like
How bad was my heart attack
Has it done any permanent damage to my heart ?
What is the best way to move forward taking into account my other conditions I have
Others will come along with lots more suggestions and if you think of any yourself you want to ask start that list now and just keep adding to it till your appointment
Thank you very much . These are great questions to ask. My son is going to come with me to see the Cardiologist as he was witness to all that happened. Bless him - such a difficult time for him but he coped amazingly. He has now produced a time line of events too as the reports from the hospital were all in Spanish. We've managed to translate some of them - but they are confusing because of all the medical terminology.Once again, thank you 😊
That is brilliant your Son is coming with you he sounds like he really knows what he is doing and is watching out for you
I can imagine as the notes were in Spanish it must be really hard unless you know someone that can translate then but seems like you both have done a good job getting some of what they have said in English
I would hope the Consultant might have a way to translate them that is another question you could ask maybe do they know exactly what they say
I am sorry your Son had to witness you been so ill but shows how well you must have brought him up as he stayed strong and was there for you x
