High blood pressure

Hi,

I'm a 49 year old type 1 diabetic, and also have hypo-thyroid. I'm a few pounds overweight as I gym regularly and carry a bit of muscle (I'm 6ft tall and weigh about 14 stones). I exercise regularly, eat healthily, and up until now have always had good blood pressure (which has been measured regularly).

However, in the last few months my blood pressure seems to be going up. Not massively, but enough for doctors to mention it's a 'little high'. My most recent check was last week, where my systolic BP was 144.

I currently have long-covid, which has resulted in inflammation in my spinal column, which is slowly getting better it's been a long journey). I guess this may also be relevent.

My question is, what measures can I take to reduce my BP? No-one is mentioning medicine yet, but are there any tips anyone can give me? If I was a smoker, drinker, overweight, inactive then I'd know what to do. But I do most of these things already so I don't seem to have many levers to pull.

Are there any supplements or other things anyone can recommend?

Many thanks in advance,

Mids_thyman.
