In reply to Amanda with a father who refused a triple heart bypass and has type 2 diabetes.
I had a triple heart bypass in 2017 3 months after my wife died.. I do wonder if my wife dying of a brain tumour brought it on. It was not good as 12 months later I had sternal dehiscence and a epigastric hernia that took to 2021 to put right. 12 month later in 2022 I had a 2nd mild heart attack and a stent was refused but my cardiologist prescribed further medication telling me a Doctor in Portugal had found the medication was as good as a stent! So far so good.
I agree with the person who suggested mental health problems. He needs to recognise the problems he is giving his family and they need to recognise how he is missing his wife (she is not mentioned and has presumably passed away. Family these days are the source of many mental health issues.
He needs good counselling; there are a lot of rubbish ones about and a good one with a good family might help. Good luck.
