Back in January I had tests and Drs were not convinced I had angina but put me on Asprin and statins. By March after diet, pains seemed to go away but have come back in July. That’s weird on its own. My BP is good, so is my cholesterol but I can’t really walk more than 2 mins without a pain. The GTN tends to work but weirdly feel reluctant to use it! How bad is angina if I can’t walk far and could it really go away and come back? I have a scan next week and keen to know what’s going on but as I say, a bit confused.

Hello
Statins and Aspirin are good medications and your Doctors must think they will benefit you to put you on them
I am not an expert in Angina but I do believe that some can have times when it settles down and then starts causing issues again it all depends on the individual
I would try and use your spray because not only might it give you some relief but if it does not work then you can tell them and if it does you can also tell them which will help to give them a better idea what is happening and what might be the best treatment moving on if needed
I am glad you have a scan next week hopefully this will give you some answers which just the knowing can help rather than wondering
I hope those with Angina will be able to share with your their experiences and please let us know how you get on x
I think you should use your spray every time you have a pain. If pain is relieved it’s likely to be angina. Having pain after two minutes into walk is likely to be angina, in my experience. Make an appointment with GP and ask to be referred to cardiology.
