Poor UK Health Service Performance

I only tend to check in here at weekends as something has been lost over the years since I joined. Putting that asside I was shocked by the BBC news report I just heard. You are more likely to die of stroke, cancer and heart disease than in other rich nations.

Cameron, Johnson, Sunak and the rest of the motley crew should hang their heads 45 degrees lower this morning for the damage they have done with their hidden agenda to privatise the Heath Service to make millions for themselves and their wealthy friends. They should be looking after us.

And if this is taken down I will assume HU and the BHF are equally corrupt!

I don't disagree with the sentiment, but rule 5 states no political posts allowed. If your post is removed, it'll be for this reason rather than the charity or forum being corrupt.

Does not surprise me, I've been waiting 3 years for treatment. I have high blood pressure, arrhythmia, tachycardia and sinus pauses. Also a family history of heart disease with my dad dying at the young age of 52! Still when I collapsed at work last month and was taken in with ambulance saying I was having a possi ble TIA. Nothing other than blood tests were done (after waiting 15hrs to be seen) and I was sent home with the hospital saying I had a fainting episode. I am 51 and have never fainted! I've actually given up on the NHS preventing the same fate as my dad went through!

Are you still waiting for treatment 3 years on? I really hope not!

Have you read the Kings Fund Report?

Healthcare is complex.

Perhaps it's for those of us resident in the UK to consider how we wish the Government of the day, to be told our feelings, about the present situation.

The BHF as an organisation is apolitical.

I think Blossom is entitled to their opinion regardless of their country of origin...

Politicising this thread will result in it being shut down even deleted.

The OP politicised it in the post... it has broken the rules and will likely be shut down

Bar a six month work placement in Brussels I have been a permanent UK resident since birth. Also having been Type I diabetic for around 60 years I have had experience of hospitals and outpatients for most of my life. I will not comment in detail otherwise I will be accused of politicalising . However the current government have been in power for just over 13 years so can therefore no longer hold anyone else responsible for the NHS woes.

Therefore, no rules have been broken but I have asked Heythrop51 to change his wording slightly.

As most of you will know I am an amputee. As treatment for a vascular issue was stalled and delayed through the 2010s you can guess my views! I also lay at least 50% of the blame at the feet of a particular vascular surgeon (who I have been told could not cut the mustard as a cardiac surgeon) !

If our government was more like yours and turfing scroungers out of our country who come here for an easy life getting handouts and put up in hotels we would have loads of money to fund the health service for the people who have worked all their lives and paid there taxes into the system. Brian
