hey guys looking to see if someone out there is somewhat similar to my situation. I have hypertrophic cardiomyopathy nonobstructive and I also have atrial flutter that is currently being treated by medication. I noticed lately that when I put my head underwater and I swim the flutter comes back is there anyone out there that gets arrhythmia when they are swimming underwater.

I’m not sure if the below will help, but the BHF do advise that if you experience chest pain, palpitations, or don’t feel well, you should not swim despite its benefits.

Perhaps get into contact with your doctor or cardiologist before resuming swimming.

All the best.
