Cardiac MRI Results

Has anyone had a cardiac MRI recently? I had one 5 weeks ago due to being diagnosed with HF. I was just wondering how long it is currently taking for people to get their results? X

I'm still waiting for my appointment but I had one bout six years ago and it came in a few months the results. Hope you get yours soon.

I’ve have a cardiac MRI before however, I did this privately so my results were with me within a week. I have previously had a myocardial perfusion scan after having a heart attack last year. When I didn’t hear back after 2 months, I contacted my local PALS (patient advice liaison service) at my hospital and they had my results within a couple of days.

I believe the waiting time varies depending on where you are, including other factors such as staffing. Perhaps you can call the cardiology department at your local hospital if you haven’t heard back after 8 weeks?

Hi there, I had an MRI 2 weeks ago. I asked how long the results would be and they said they would be with the consultant in 2 weeks time. So i’m giving it another week and then going to start gently pushing! I know realise after reading your post and the replies that I could be being wildly optimistic! All I can suggest is that you chase your results up with the consultants office. Good luck 🤞

I waited 6 weeks and then called the cardiologist's secretary, she was able to give me results over the phone... this was almost a year ago though
