2nd ablation

In Nov 2021 I felt unwell at work which happened to be as a Porter at my local hospital. On attending A+E i was found to be in AF, this turned out to be Paroxysmal. I managed to have a cryo ablation which unfortunately damaged my phrenic nerve leaving me with phrenic palsy and I found it very difficult to breathe for about 6 months then the AF came back. I have just had a second ablation with heat this time and having been nervous about having it due to the previous experience it seems to have gone ok and even thou it’s been 2 days since having it I feel like my energy levels are coming back and I’m hopeful for the future. It really knocked my confidence having AF and I felt vulnerable . I’m really looking forward to doing some of the things I gave up like mountain biking and snowboarding and hope this ablation works. Anyway I want to wish everyone with issues what ever they are all the best 🙂

Thanks you for your well wishes they are very much appreciated , sorry to hear about your troubles and how it left you feeling so vulnerable , its a feeling that many of us have.

It must be odd for you working in the hospital and all the things you have to do and find yourself on the other side of things { hope you were nice to the porters helping you ! }

Hopefully you will be better after this second go at it and slowly once again re-turn to your old self.
