I’ve had my pacemaker since November 2020 so it’s well settled in , just wanted to ask others with pacemakers if when you have a cold drink if it causes you to feel your pm pacing ? I’m used to the self test my pm runs late at night but I’ve just had a cold drink and felt the all too familiar tapping from my pm . Just curious if others experience this too 🤔

I’ve had my Pacemaker since October 2020 and I’ve heard about feeling the PM test but personally I’ve never felt it. I’m due to visit the pacing team in June so I will ask if mine does actually self test. Regarding cold drinks I’ve had plenty and I’ve never felt anything from my PM.
Good idea 😊. I have an Appointment in September, cancelled from March, but I'm certainly going to ask as well 👍
Hi Westie. Snap, I've had mine since 2020 as well 😊! It's a Dual Pacemaker, Boston Scientific, and wasn't aware that mine was Set to Self Test. The only Checks I've had are by the Pacemaker Clinic! Yesterday Afternoon though, it was really pounding and felt quite unnerving to tell you the truth. I had been doing quite a bit though, so perhaps it was that. Other than that, I have never had any problems! 😊
Can’t feel it testing with or without a cold drink, but wet weather seems to make it ache around the leads
