I’m on Edoxaban (blood thinner) Bisoprolol (beta blocker) Chemydur (Isorbide) and a statin. I feel very lethargic in the morning and quite low Not sure which medication is causing this problem as apart from the Isorbide I have only been on the other tablets since March this year. Anyone had similar experiences.

Hello :-)

I take Bisoprolol and do feel it makes me very tired and so many more have had this side effect from it

I have spoke many times to the Doctors but they want me on it so I just keep putting up with it

I would speak with your Doctor and see if they will do a med review but you are not on your own

Not sure if you are up to date with blood tests the routine ones but of not worth getting those done to make sure you are not low in things like iron

I hope this improves for you :-) x

I’m up to date with bloods having recently been in hospital. They won’t consider changing meds as only just getting them in my system. I’ve not been eating well with all the anxiety so this could be related.

I also seem to have brain fog since I’ve been on bisoprolol.

Not sure whether this helps but I'm on a small dose of Bisoprolol for about a year and once I got used to the initial effects of dizziness have adapted well and don't feel tired. It might be to do with a combination of drugs so worth monitoring and getting checked out if it doesn't improve. It might take a little time for your body to adjust.

thank you for the feedback. I’m probably trying to rush things but when you don’t feel well since the drugs that are supposed to help it’s worrying.

I completely get that and do hope you're feeling the benefits soon - take care

Hi DouglasE,

I found bisoprolol quite difficult. I was on a low dose 1.25mg but it made me very lethargic and bradycardia (low pulse of 40-42 bpm). I was taking it for AF atrial fibrolation.

Best wishes

Thank you for sharing. Im on 2.5 morning and evening and haven’t felt right I also have bad sinus since taking it. My GP won’t change anything yet as I’m seeing a neurologist about balance issues. Im convinced bisoprolol is causing my fatigue and low mood.
