so having been told in January things had improved, I finally had my CT angiogram in the middle of march(had been waiting since October.) many weeks have past and I was thinking to myself no news is good news……..until yesterday, the pharmacist from my local GP practice called to say my results were back and I have the beginning of coronary artery disease. So after being delighted at getting to stop Apixiban and frusomide in January, I now have to start taking aspirin and a statin daily. Oh the ups and downs of this roller coaster ride!😏

Hello :-)

I am sorry to hear you got this news just as you thought things were maybe looking up but even though it is not want to hear remember the words " The start " so they have caught it just as it has started which if you have to have this is lucky because now you can have the right treatment and they will keep an eye on you where some never get to find out till it is to late

Hope in a few days you will be able to see that it is a good thing they have spotted this and starting to treat it :-) x

thank you for your reply. You are right, the call I got really made me panic however the letter from my cardiologist was more reassuring as it also said the positive that you have just pointed out which is “there are no severe blockages which is reassuring”I just feel a bit like I might start to rattle from all the tablets I have to take!!😂

Hello :-)

I am glad the letter you got was more reassuring :-)

I think so many of us rattle on here with all the meds so you are in good company :-D

I hope you manage to enjoy the Bank Holiday weekend :-) x

two steps forward one back! Sorry that you have something else to contend with although the words “beginning of” stuck out and sound hopeful that it’s caught in time. Still appreciate not great when you had had improvements

👍
