I'm somewhat gobsmacked!

Just had phone call from local hospital. ( This is a bank holiday Sunday Morning by the way ) inviting me to drop in any time before 4.00pm for a chest X-Ray. 😯I saw the Spirometry nurse on Tuesday for a follow up to a test I had in November regarding Asthma? and she referred me. I was expecting to have to wait a few weeks/ months for the usual letter. So at the moment I'm impressed.😊

Before anyone complains that this post is not heart related I have had Afib for the past 11 years, on usual cocktail of meds, and have been getting more breathless as time has gone on. 😑

The powers that be are now trying to decide if it's a) Asthma. b) Heart related or c) I'm just totally unfit or as is most likely d) a combination of all 3. I live in N.Wales and flat ground is at a premium.🚡

Off now to breakfast and shower before I venture into the germ factory as the Masked Invader,😷 not many of us about now, 😞and I am recovering from a recent attack of the Voldamorts.😱 Gutted as managed to avoid it for the past 3 years.😠😠

Watch this space.

They must have gotten a cancellation, fantastic for you!

Let us know how it goes.

Good luck with your X-Ray and that's you and me still wearing a mask in public.

Sorry to hear of your wrestle with the Voldamorts but well done for hiding so long from it.

Take care

My local hospital do walk ins during the week for x-rays provided that the GP has sent over a referral. So usually go in without an appointment.

I’m one of a very few who still wear my mask 😷 too.

Let us know how you get on.

Well this is good news getting it done so quick and you can find out what the cause is :-)

Yes I avoided the unmentionable to till just before Christmas last year and it struck but I agree get your mask on :-)

Wow that's amazing to get an appointment on a Sunday and bank holiday weekend aswell. This can be tricky because breathless can be caused by heart disease and asthma and sometimes it's hard to pinpoint which one, I was having issues that I was convinced was heart related so I emailed my specialist nurse and she called me back and assured me it was not heart related was likely to be my asthma πŸ€¦β€β™€οΈ. Hope you get to the bottom of what's causing this I know it can be a nightmare! ❀️

I agree - it can be a nightmare trying to get someone to diagnose what's causing breathlessness! GP and asthma nurse say it's my heart, but cardiologist (private because my NHS one is working 18 months behind - so I might see him in December) says that my echocardiogram doesn't show up anything that would cause my breathlessness!

That always happens to me my asthma team say its my heart and heart team say its asthma πŸ™ˆπŸ€¦β€β™€οΈ. Hope your not waiting to long to find out what's causing the breathlessness x
