Heart Failure and Polymyalgia Rheumatica

Coping well with my HF for nearly 10 years and then caught Covid 19 on holiday in February. A week after recovering from the 'fluey' symptoms I started muscle pains, stiffness and loss of strength in areas since linked to PMR. Symptoms developed very quickly and so strong now that I can't bend, reach, sit or lie down comfortably particularly in the early hours and all morning. I just had blood tests that indicate a likely diagnosis of PMR - I see the GP next week. I note that the treatment for PMR is Prednisolone a corticosteroid that could run for 18 months. I also note that Heart Failure patients may not be able to cope with this medication. A new experience for me and checking if anybody out there has had similar circumstances and interested in your treatment, prognosis and any advice if you had this unfortunate mix of conditions.
