8 months after having a heart attack and having 2 stents put in. I have lost 2 and half stone in weight and on Sunday just gone completed my first ever( I hadn’t even thought of completing one before) in under 1 hr 10 minutes. Really proud in what I have done and have three more races to run in the next three months. My ambition in the future is to run a marathon although I know that will be sometime off yet.

That's an amazing effort. Well done. I'm sure you'll manage to run a marathon too..

Great result on your 10k there, Morton. That really is an achievement to be proud of.

Great going with your weight loss too, that can also be a serious challenge.

Well done... an excellent achievement. And that weight loss is brilliant as well. 😀

It's good that you have a target to aim for with the marathon. Something to focus on which is what we all need. Keep positive and I'm sure you will get there.

Well done, I'm similar to you had a stent fitted in Dec 21 lost 2 stone and Ive done 6-7 mile runs, until I buggered my knee up last summer, I still do 3-4 mile runs, and swim 1 mile(64 lengths) 2-3 times a week, takes me about 39mins, I couldn't even swim until early last year! I also do door frame pull ups too, I'd say I'm fitter than I've ever been in years, I've just turned 50 in Jan, keep up the good work,, I am!

Well done and a good time too.

Ok you've encouraged me/shamed me into entering the Phoenix 10k in Brighton this morning with a 1 hour 10 min target time. I'll probably regret it if not now then on the day!

Thanks and good luck with the three races and enjoy the training.😀

FAB U LOUS, well done and long may your achievements continue. The 1/2 marathon beckons......

As a footnote, thank you for taking the time to share your achievements, this is something IMO this site is sadly lacking.
