During my angioplasty I was diagnosed with 2 of the 3 main arteries 85 to 95 % blocked. The third on the right hand side was completely blocked but had already formed collaterals. I therefore received no treatment for the right hand artery. I had a total of 4 stents fitted 3 in the left artery and 1 in the main artery. As I explained in my earlier post I have been having some pains in my chest when its close to or if I miss my tablet taking time. Could it be that after receiving the stents in the other 2 arteries there has been a resultant reduction of pressure in the collaterals formed on the right hand artery thus giving me the associated pain as the heart is not getting the required blood flow? Does anybody have any thoughts?

I can't answer your query, but in the absence of any replies to your post from yesterday, I suggest you try the BHF Heart Helpline nurse who may be able to help.
Sorry to hear..Mine has not worked and awaiting quadruple bypass...good luck.
Hi Robert, I had the same problem like yours. I told my consultant and they changed my medication's. However I was under many medications such as statin, blood pressure, high colestrol, and type2 diabet. the combination of tablets where not working but after a year of testing differant medication I was ok. Remember after angio you will feel pain for a wile so give ot a time but let your consultant know and DO NOT PANIC my friend.
Hi Robert
Sound very similar to my story, with me anxiety seem to rule, if I don't take my meds on time or miss them I feel unwell until I realise it's all in my head. I often have chest pain and have taken my GTN spray with no effect. This then tells me it's not heart related and everything seems to calm down quite quickly. I think with me, any chest pain can snowball. I have, like many, become less active and find that if I am slouching on the sofa can cause muscle ache in the intercostals. Once I have had a poke around my rib cage and found a tight/sore spot everything seems to calm down.
The other thing with me is side effects to meds and it has taken a while to get them right.
For me it's not only a physical roller-coaster but an emotional one as well particularly having 2 teenage girls.
Just talking to your GP can help put your mind at rest and they be able to help with additional tests or med changes.
I Hope everything settles down for you Robert and going on holiday sound like the perfect remedy.
