What's the difference between heart failure and disease?

Heartattackvictim profile image

On my records it states I have Ischemic heart disease. I read a lot about heart failure but not much, or anything, about heart disease. Are the terms used interchangeably or are they different? Thanks for any insights offered, John

NB: Heart Failure can also happen following a Heart Attack caused by Ischemic Heart Disease, prior to the narrowed/clogged arteries being treated WITHOUT the heart being damaged post heart attack.
