Hello :-)

Thank you for doing this post it is so kind of you :-)

If I am honest taking a step back made me see so much and I was quite surprised so in that respect was good :-)

Since my Bypasses I seem to be getting one health issue after another not related to the heart but I have to say it is getting me very down as once you have been through heart attacks and Bypasses you feel it is all abut recovery and that will be that but in my case it is not turning out that way

And while you have asked :-D

I am agoraphobic so life can be very limited in that sense but my garden I take so much pride in as that is my outdoors about the only time I get out and get some fresh air and became my hobby some years ago

My lovely neighbours ( not ) have decided to put a fence up behind mine and of course they have had to make it taller and it looks awful and took away what was an immaculate feature and now I am looking at an eyesore and I am very upset

But other than that :-D I am ok thank you :-)

How about you ?

How is life treating you well I hope :-) x

Hi

I’m fine really off to cardio class shortly, back to work later this week on a phased return, good days and down right exhausted days but good days are more now.

Don’t give people permission to upset you, they can only upset you if you allow it, easier said than done I know.

You will be able to enjoy your garden more soon as the better weather comes in although we are looking at snow right now where I am.

Spring time is beautiful all the bulbs and spring flowers appearing for a new beginning after their winter rest…….. just like us

You have taken your time to reset now prepare to conquer and enjoy, lovely to see you back x

Hello :-)

That is great you are doing well and love you are getting more good days now :-)

A phased return to work I hope it goes well you will have to let us know :-)

Yes we could get some snow here to this week or so it says but hopefully the Spring will not be far behind it

I know you are right about letting people upset me but when it is slap bang in front of your eyes and you cannot miss it can be very hard to do especially when it is affecting as we say your pride and joy :-)

Enjoy your class and thank you again for the warm welcome back :-) x

Just wanted to say welcome back!

I’m so sorry to hear about the situation with your neighbours; it can make for difficult times when others aren’t considerate. Is there any way you could attach a bit of trellis or something to the top of your fence to hide theirs and claim some beauty back?

I don’t know if you will find this useful but I’ll share my tip for finding peace. My counsellor taught me a breathing technique called “the light breath”, imagine a candle or perhaps for you it may be the sun beaming when you’re in your garden. Take a deep breath in through your nose, feel the warmth of the light on your face and flowing into your body. Breathe the darkness out through your mouth slowly. Continuing doing this (for as long as is comfortable) and try to make your out breaths longer than you’re in, if you can. If you can’t, don’t sweat it. Each time you’re breathing in really focus on the sun and let its warmth spread through your whole body. As you’re doing this, imagine that the light is building strength and a protective barrier around you. Once your barrier is surrounding you completely, open your eyes and you are set for the day. I do this every day and honestly, the shift in my mindset has been incredible and the ability for others to dampen my shine is so diminished; I can’t express how beneficial I find it 😁

I completely respect however if it isn’t for you.

I hope that your week improves and you made my heart smile to see that you had returned 💛

Best wishes

Hello :-)

We spoke about doing something like that but the length of the fence it would be very expensive and they are the sort of people that no doubt would do something else and then you would be back to square one they know exactly what they are doing regretfully

Thank you so much for taking the time to share the breathing exercise I am going to copy and paste that as I might lose it on this post and shall give it a go :-)

I hope you are keeping as well as you can be and thank you it is nice to get a warm welcome back :-) x

Welcome back. Regarding your fence, my neighbour put one up that goes about 2 foot higher than my garden wall. At first I was annoyed but like everything else I have got used to it. We put a row of solar lights (just small like Xmas tree lights) and they are lovely at night. May go for some wall art on it this year. Take care x

in reply to nursenancy53

Hello :-)

I love solar lights my garden is so lit up in the summer but you have given me an idea now about putting some on the top and I never need an excuse to buy more solar lights :-)

Thank you for your welcome back and hope you are keeping well :-) x

Lovely to see you are back.

Not so good to hear about the fence situation, but your eyes will stop noticing it as it weathers in and maybe you will find it gives you more privacy from them in the summer.

in reply to JeremiahObadiah

Hello :-)

You have a valid point there about the privacy :-)

Thank you for the welcome back :-)

Hope you are keeping well :-) x

I am in my 70`s and have had agoraphobia since my teens so I totally understand. Each day can present a challenge although I am blessed to have more good days than bad. Hopefully, with Spring just around the corner you will get many blissful hours in your garden. Welcome back. xxx

Hello :-)

I have been agoraphobic now for 30 years and 60 it can feel a very lonely life and why my garden means so much to me

I have no idea how you have managed all these years

Getting me into the Hospital was a nightmare , I am not sure how you cope , I was never sure if the heart attacks or been taken from my home was the worse :-o

Thank you for your Welcome back it is so kind of you :-)

Hope you have a lovely day :-) x
