Hi yes I had mine taken from my left arm just over a year ago. Arm was painful for a while mainly around the lower part around the wrist to the pad where the thumb is That part is still very tight in the soft pad around the thumb area and a little bit sore. When I was having my final cardiologist appt to be discharged he said it wasn't something they would normally try and do anything about unless it got really bad. He recommended getting some physio on it which I will be doing
Yes, I had mine taken from my left arm in addition to a vein from my right leg. In the main the arm healed extremely well, but I still experience pain at my wrist after doing fairly heavy work with my hands. Fortunately I have only very minor issues with my heart, so I can apply Ibuprofen gel to calm it down. The gentle massage motion rubbing the gel in helps. It is four and a half years since my op and I still have some loss of sensation at my wrist.
my graph was taken from left leg and mammary area. Still having problems but the cardio physio in addition to paying for physio has certainly helped me move forward.
A good physiotherapist can help you understand how to move forward at the right pace. Having lost 18months support owing to Covid closures wasn’t going to wait for National Health, their lists were enormous.
If you can get exercise on referral from your gp practice the cardio team are very supportive.
I wish you well.
