Now around 3 months since my visit to A&E, CCU and the Cath Lab. NSTEMI diagnosed, no stents fitted and discharged with the normal cocktail of meds.Rehab and follow-up care has been pretty good but I do find myself struggling at times. Dodgy stomach and absolutely whacked out at times, often to the point where I can't be bothered to do anything. Feet are always cold, legs ache and just lately I've noticed my resting heart rate dip from the low 40s into the 30s.
Had an rehab education session yesterday part of which included a chat from the Cardiology Pharmacist. Mentioned about the HR and he suggested I email his dept so they could discuss with my cardiology dr. Did that and now awaiting response.
Thanks for letting me get this off my chest, just hoping I can get back to some sort of normal soon.
Take Care All.

Definitely sounds that your beta blocker is too much. That alone can make you feel whacked. It happened to me, but when I spoke my GP, he wanted to raise the dose. I told him I would cut the pill if he didn't lower the dose. "You can't do that" he said to which I replied "I can and I will". So he changed my prescription... and increased the dose! 😯
Blimey, that doesn't sound great. I'd accept the lower heart rate if I wasn't so blooming tired most of the time. My get up and go has certainly got up and legged it.I may be one of those that beta blockers dont suit as I had similar issues on atenolol about 20 years ago.
Well, I was on 3.75mg of Bisoprolol. I asked for it to be reduced to 2.5mg as I was feeling somewhat wiped out and after sitting a while I almost passed out when I stood up. My pulse rate just hit the floor. When the prescription for 5mg came through I had to contact the surgery and get it changed. After complaining about it and meeting with the pharmacist at the surgery, the dose was lowered to 1.25mg, but even now I get the occasional dizzy spell when I stand up and it definitely limits my pulse rate when I exercise.
I'm "only" on 1.25mg and if anything after 3 months I'm more tired than ever. If I've not heard back by next week's rehab I'll be pushing for a meds review.I know we have to take our meds but quality of life has to be a factor too.
