Good morning ,I am so sorry to hear of your husbands diagnosis. I was diagnosed in June 2022 . From my learning about the condition everyone seems to have these symptoms. Fatigue, headaches .The recovery process takes time, you will both require patience, and a lot of humour! My husband is very supportive and we have worked out routines, where I can still be " useful" but he does the heavy lifting.Your husband needs to rest...this means rest, very limited activity, and to gradually build up levels of activity. I have found this group, the Facebook myocarditis support group helpful .plus the cardic rehabilitation team from my local hospital. I appreciate not every area has one but ask ,they were fantastic at supporting us both..take care, and please let us know how you both are getting on. Hugs
I am sorry to hear about your husband's recent diagnosis - you might find it helpful to do a search for other posts on Myocarditis here, Use the "Search Health Unlocked" option in top R corner of this page and type in Myocarditis
The BHF also has useful information at bhf.org.uk/informationsuppo...
But most of the information does not tell you what it really feels like to have Myocarditis, which is pretty rotten. Firstly, viral infections leave you feeling rubbish with various symptoms and fatigue. In addition the heart is working at reduced function so the body isn't getting the fuel and oxygen it needs pumped to it as quickly as it needs. So your husband will be feeling pretty poorly for quite a while. Complete rest is usually recommended. Recovery can be quite slow, so i hope your husband can take plenty of time off work and that you and you family will be able to support him and each other during this period.
It's a rotten condition as others have said - I'm almost 6 months in and just had a flare up after catching whatever the most recent winter virus is. Full story in my previous posts if your interested, but everyone's journey is different. Just be sure he rests both physically and from stress (as much as possible)
The good news is that folk generally do recover in time. Hopefully your husband is one of those that recover quickly!

I have had myocarditis. I recovered fairly quickly, however I then developed another unrelated heart condition.
Captain_Birdseye gives good advice. Reading through other people's experiences of the condition can be helpful.
My advice is to rest, rest and then rest some more!
Expect 2 steps forward then one step back.
Be patient.
Another good scource of information can be found on Cardiomyopathy UK's website.

I wish your husband a speedy recovery.
