Hi, sorry to hear that you’re experiencing some unwanted symptoms. I was wondering, have you taken your BP as well and how many readings of your heart rate have you taken?

If it continues for more than a few minutes it might work calling 111 just to talk your symptoms through with someone who can get you more specialised help if necessary.

Best wishes and hope you feel better soon,

Soap

Thank you for your reply , this has been going on for months, been to hospital lots of times and have just seen a consultant last week ( after a 4 month wait ) and now I am waiting for a eco appointment . My BP was high but medication has brought that down but not my BP!

hi,

Yes, that is high. When did it start? Have you always been active?

Hello, it's definitely tachy, but it could derive from many things, the fact that you're on tablets for BP could be a contributing factor as one of the side effects could be possible tachy; yet you would only be able to consider that as a possibility if the fast heart rates initiated after starting the BP tablets. An ECC would be helpful as it could let you know if it's regular sinus tachy or irregular. The Echo is a great goal, but also a 48 hour holter could be beneficial if possible. I'd as the PCP and Cardiologist for sure about that. Also, there's no information to gage what could possibly be a relatable experience for us to really reply to. Information such as if you have any diagnosis of heart, lung, or other cardiovascular ailments. or even if you have anxieties or other conditions that could cause anxieties.

My heart rate was high before the BP tablets the doc said they should bring it down , but it never has . I am asmatic but have changed the meds to try and combat my hr , the only anxiety I have is the tachycardia
