Night Sweats

I am having night sweats whilst sleeping. I am 77 years old so not due to menopause. Anyone else have this problem

HiSo sorry to hear your having night sweats I would definitely mention to your gp or cardiologist. I had this problem with out even realising it I would wake up very wet from sweating and it turned out I had pneumonia it was slowly developing for weeks please mention your night sweats don't leave this. Are you on any medication that could be causing this? What's your history sorry for asking ❤️

Hi not to alarm you but this was the main symptom of endocarditis for me, please look it up

Only approximately 5 in 100, 000 people get this infection so it is highly unlikely that you do have it, but maybe there is an infection brewing so consulting the doctor sooner rather than later is always the best option.

I think you should contact your Gp. It might be nothing, but it could be something sinister.

The earlier it is checked out the better. If you have anything else untoward, even if apparently unconnected, tell the Gp too, eg any new lumps or pains. Ask for blood tests to see if there are any markers in your blood. Worth taking seriously even if it turns out to be nothing at all.
