I recall a post a couple of weeks ago commenting that one of our forum friends received a letter with an MRI scan result that was incomprehensible - medical jargon to the left, medical jargon to the right etc.
Well, I have the opposite problem. Letter received from my Cardiologist…
“Thank you for attending your MRI scan. It shows the heart is moderately reduced in its pump function from the heart attack you had over 2 years ago now. There are some further tablet changes we could make to improve your breathing which I have suggested to the Heart Failure Nurses and they will be calling you up for this in the next few months. “
The next few months!
My GP is still in lockdown (I’m in NI). Inaccessible. I had to get a copy of my medical records for my pension provider and apparently, on a random date not related to the date of my HA, I had heart failure. This hasn’t been explained to me.
Hey ho. Keep taking the tablets. I feel well enough, which I define as “well enough to do everything that I need to enjoy a good life”. My wife still works full time, by choice, and I do everything else. When she asks how I am, I reply, “Well enough” and she understands that I mean well enough to do everything I should, not necessarily everything I could.
Things could be so much worse. Thank you for reading.
