Hi All, Just arrived home from my latest appointment with my cardiologist. Who Bless him had booked a sign language interpreter for me..

*I Hate Masks& HearingAids/Glasses.

No results for my Holter Machine yet?They will be in the post this evening and coming tomorrow.

I am now being booked in for an MRI 🤔scan as he wants a thorough look at my heart function(I had a CT scan last year it was awful I was so drugged up and dizzy afterwards) I had to lie down and be checked over by a consultant My blood pressure rocketed.(A cup of tea and a biscuit later)

Please tell me they don't do this for an MRI?

Also as I cannot tolerate tablets(MDIS)so it is to be expected my HR is all over the place with LBBB/LVSD, so he is referring me to his Good Friend who does ICD's as I am an exceptional case.. 😂😂That's me as my parents will say!! A pain in the backside even 46 years later..😉

I know they say an angio is the gold standard test in terms of checking heart function, but I think I stress MRI is right up along side it. To be perfectly honest, I found it relatively straight forward, but you will notice once they induce the stress part. However, the knowledge your medical team gain from the imaging ensures that you receive the correct treatment pathway.

I can believe that..I had one on my brain for Meniere's disease(Balance disorder) Too rule out anything in towards hovering about. Apart from a bit of white Matt which is normal with Age. I got the all clear.

I remember it being very noisy. I really wouldn't want an angiogram now they frighten me with being so small in size.

I prefer CT Scans over an MRI - but I think it is a personal thing.

You lay there, you breath in, hold your breath, hear the buzzing then breath normally.

They tell you how things are going, and you have a 'a panic button' in case it all gets too much for you. Never needed it myself, but i know those who have.

Again, all down to personal choice.

I had a Heart MRI and found it to be most informative, if a tad lengthy in getting the results to my Cardiologist and then to me in terms I could understand.

I found the staff to be understanding, caring & helpful.

Yes I had the cardiac mir scans recently. For me the worst bit was having to eat the thick buttered bread and drink full fat milk. When I had the second one the following week I asked for jam too and that was much better. If you want full details, please let me know. There are several people there looking after you at every stage and all very straight forward. The actual scan is very quick. You have no need to be concerned at all.

They gave me nothing to eat or drink for my MRI scan. Only contrast injection.

Called me back a week later to have another for some reason.

That was 7 months ago and still waiting for results.
