Applying for holiday insurance when on preventative drugs but not having angina

Has anyone had any experience with holiday insurance when on aspirin, statin and beta blockers as a preventative measure but not actually having angina? I have been checked and no condition was found but doctor suggested medicines as a preventative measure. When applying for holiday insurance they always asume i have angina but this is not the case. Anyone had experience with this?

Try Avanti they really understand, I use them and have recommended them on here several times, from feedback the people who have used them seem very pleased.

Thanks, I will give them a try.

My experience of talking to travel insurance providers is there is a specific question relating to chest pains which follows on from declarations about heart attacks. So if you declare that you don't get heart related chest pains then you haven't got angina as far as they are concerned. I suggest you talk to a few providers to check this out. Staysure and All Clear are often mentioned on here as providers and I have used Allclear but didn't need to claim.

Thanks for the information.

You must declare all medication even if you are not suffering with anything, otherwise your insurance will be void. I hope you get a reasonable quote. Good luck.

While statins and aspirin are common preventative measures, beta blockers are usually only given with symptoms or a diagnosis, hence the insurance questions. My husband was given this combination when he had some chest tightness off and on but the beta blockers were stopped after he had a clear CT angiogram.
