Testing process - very stressful

Hi,

I was told 7 days ago I may have AVRD and my right ventricular is structurally not working well. My left is good! This is a congenital defect. The words my cardiology used were this is serious, rare and complicated.

I had a ECG and currently on a 7 day heart monitor. MRI next week.

On beta blockers which are helping.

I can't sleep, eat and am depressed inside. I put on a brave face for my husband and 7 year old but inside my whole world looks different.

Any advice how to get through this?

This is clearly a difficult time for you. However you are being treated and the work is being done to determine how to improve things for you. That is a very good thing and I would hold on to that. We are all different but I believe in talking and being open about such matters. Difficult where your daughter is concerned but children pick up on things whatever you do. As to your husband he is your partner and help and surely you should be sharing your anxiety with him? Bottling things up and increasing your anxiety is not good for your heart! Good luck and keep us posted. You can share here.
